Original recordings for every level, each with a synchronised transcript, comprehension questions, vocabulary and grammar notes.

How these recordings are made

German Prep writes every script itself. The audio is produced with open-source speech synthesis using voices trained on CC0-licensed recordings, then checked automatically with offline speech recognition. Synthetic voices sound less natural than real speakers — practise with authentic sources too. Details and licences are listed on each recording page.
