  • DSH-2 or equivalent

    TUM accepts DSH-2, TestDaF with TDN 4 in all four parts and several equivalent certificates. Two bachelor programmes have lower requirements.

  • University of Bonn

    Bonn, Germany

    DSH-2 or equivalent

    DSH-2 opens all German-taught programmes (Master of Education: DSH-3). Five bachelor programmes accept DSH-1. Purely English-taught programmes need no German.

  • TU Dresden

    Dresden, Germany

    DSH-2 or equivalent

    TU Dresden lists DSH-2, an average TestDaF result of at least 4, DSD II, the Feststellungsprüfung, Goethe C2 and telc C1 Hochschule (grades sehr gut, gut or befriedigend). Some programmes need the certificate before applying.

    FAU accepts DSH level 2, TestDaF with TDN 4 in each part, telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule, Goethe C2, ÖSD C2 and DSD II with at least B2 in all parts.

  • University of Regensburg

    Regensburg, Germany

    B2 to apply, DSH-2 to enrol

    Applicants need at least B2 when applying; for enrolment most programmes need DSH-2 or an equivalent certificate (some accept DSH-1). Medicine, dentistry and pharmacy need DSH-3 already at application.

    This programme page lists a German university entrance qualification or bachelor's degree, DSH-2, TestDaF 4×4 or telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule. The proof should not be older than two years at application.

    Vienna, Austria

    A2 to apply, C1 for admission

    Applicants need A2 when applying and C1 for regular admission. Without C1, the supplementary exam can be taken through the preparatory programme of the Vienna universities (VWU). Certificates must not be older than two years.

  • University of Zurich

    Zurich, Switzerland

    C1

    Applicants need at least C1 in the main language of instruction. Accepted German proofs include Goethe C1/C2, DSH-2/DSH-3, DSD II, telc Deutsch C1 Hochschule, ÖSD C1/C2 and TestDaF with an average of TDN 4 and at least TDN 3 in every part.
