German Prep offers German lessons, practice, listening exercises, a placement test, exam information, calculators and planning tools. The service is currently free and does not require an account.

We may change, extend or discontinue features. Because your data is stored in your browser, export a backup regularly if it matters to you.

Placement results, practice scores, exam calculators, vocabulary estimates and grade conversions are estimates for learning and planning. They are not exam results, certificates or admission decisions.

Exam rules and university requirements can change. The documents of the exam providers and universities are always decisive — check them before you register for an exam or apply.

German Prep is not affiliated with or endorsed by any exam provider, university or authority. Exam and institution names are used only to describe them.

Lessons, questions, texts, scripts, recordings and the design of German Prep are protected by copyright. You may use them for your own learning. You may not copy them in bulk, republish them or use them commercially without our permission.

Licences of third-party components, such as the speech synthesis voices, are listed where they are used.

Do not attack, overload or try to gain unauthorised access to the website, and do not use it to harm others. Security researchers are welcome to report issues privately by e-mail.

We prepare all content carefully, but we cannot guarantee that it is complete, current or free of errors. To the extent permitted by law, German Prep is not liable for decisions you make based on the estimates and information on this website.
